1943 Steel Penny - XF-AU

$10.00

Description

Steel pennies such as this were made during World War II, in 1943, at the Philadelphia Mint. The United States government ordered the US Mint to create Lincoln Cents out of steel so that the copper and bronze could be used for ammunition, artillery shells, and bombs. These ones are in Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated condition, unprofessionally graded by me.
