How we protect, inspect, and deliver every historical artifact to our collector family.
Every piece is verified against numismatic reference catalogs, measured for die accuracy, and inspected for authenticity before listing.
We never use stock photos. The coin you see in high-resolution macro detail is the exact physical artifact you will receive.
Items are housed in archival-safe non-PVC flips, securely bubble-wrapped in tamper-evident packaging, and dispatched with tracking.
We stand behind the authenticity and quality of every coin. If you have any questions or concerns upon receipt, our team is always here to assist.
Following the unpopular zinc-coated steel pennies of 1943, the U.S. Mint returned to copper-colored coinage by melting down spent brass cartridge shell casings salvaged from domestic military training facilities and firing ranges. Produced from 1944 through 1946, these coins were an alloy of 95% copper and 5% zinc (technically brass, omitting tin).
Duncan's Coin Shop was founded in 2025 by Duncan Askildson in collaboration with Jumbo Development to bridge the gap between historic antiquity and modern numismatic collectors.
Every genuine coin survived centuries of conquest, trade, discovery, and craftsmanship. When you acquire a piece from our vault, you are not merely buying metallic currencyโyou are preserving tangible human history. Proceeds directly support our independent shop, local heritage projects, and family.
