These 1-cent coins were minted with the hope that putting a Native American headdress on Lady Liberty would help represent the history of Indigenous tribes in the USA. They were so popular that lines of people were showing up to buy them at the US Mints. The Reverse side design features an oak wreath, the Union Shield, and a ribbon tying a bundle of arrows and olive leaves to the wreath.
