1980s Replica Viking Coin - St. Peter Penny & Aethelstan designs

Description

This replica, made out of pewter, was made out of two coin dies found at the York Archaelogical Trust's Coppergate excavation site. Each side belonged to a different viking coin, but was made from real viking coin dies. One side, referred to as the Saint Peter Penny, features the sword of Saint Peter and Thor's hammer. The other side features a coin from the Saxon king Aethelstan.
