Tokens like this were made since the 1970s, up until the 2020s. They were used as currency in Chuck E. Cheese establishments to pay for games, which would reward you with tickets to buy prizes with. The tokens have been phased out as of the 2020s, and almost every single game now uses charge cards instead of coin slots to operate.
